Gretchen told us:  I was heading into what I knew was going to be a tough meeting. I was going to have to say some hard, honest stuff and I was pretty sure I was going to back down. That morning I put on my “brave” shirt. Several times during the meeting I heard myself going down the wrong path, starting to smooth over issues that needed to be addressed. Then I would look down at my shirt and start my sentence over. I said what needed to be said. I would never have done that if I didn't have the visual reminder to be brave.
