Last December, my friend Lucia bought a bunch of imagine products from us - a window cling, a mug and a tee shirt. She told us she was fired up to reinvigorate her writing career in 2008. She was going to use the word imagine, first visualizing all the writing projects she could undertake, then using the word to help her stay motivated and inspired as she wrote.

By spring, Lucia emailed about a book project she was working on with writer Katie McCollow. By fall, she was a finalist in a much-lauded writing competition. And this coming spring…drumroll, please…Lucia Duff Paul and Katie McCollow’s will release their book: Bad Catholic Mothers - A Book of Revelations, a humorous compilation of the worst Catholic mothering moments of women of all ages.

Now, I am not suggesting that the Empoword imagine cling on Lucia’s MacBook has some magical power. In fact, I know it doesn’t, because I know where the power in this story came from: Lucia. She was the active ingredient. She used her Empoword products to keep herself mindful of her goal for 2008. And her dream became a reality.
