Affirmation Success: One Word or Many?
Last week a friend of mine called. A friend of hers is in the midst of a major medical crisis. Wanting to do something - anything - to help, to provide support and inspiration, she thought: Empoword.
What should I send her?, she asked.
After telling me a bit of her friend’s story, I suggested a brave tee and a breathe water bottle with a giggle card. The brave tee would remind her friend to be courageous as she faced the challenges ahead. The breathe water bottle would remind her to take deep breathes when the stress mounted, lowering stress hormones in her body and giving her a sense of control and well-being. The giggle card would just make her smile and laugh. Laughter is after all some of the very best medicine.
“I thought the idea was to use just one word,” my friend said.
“That’s an option, but it depends,” I said.
Some Empoword customers buy everything we make in a single word. Maybe they like a particular word or they are “working” on a specific issue, like weight loss or getting into shape so they choose focus or strength. We hear a lot of “I NEED balance!” Saturating yourself with a single-word affirmation is an excellent way to find success in achieving a goal or accomplishing a task.
On the flipside, using a multitude of words can provide support in different ways throughout the day. For example, right now I have a brave cling above my bathroom sink. It reminds me to stay strong and tenacious despite the economy. I use my balance water bottle daily. If I didn’t, I might forget to stop working and cook dinner. And every morning, depending on how I feel or what I need, I choose my coffee mug to set an intention for the day. Today, I chose love because I was feeling a little too hostile toward my boyfriend and thought I needed an attitude adjustment.
There is no right or wrong way to use Empoword’s products. The key is using a word or words that feel supportive and inspiring to YOU.
