Aspire is the next empoword word for me. I searched it on dictonary.com, and this is the definition I got, “to long, aim, or seek ambitiously; be eagerly desirous, esp. for something great or of high value; to rise up; soar; mount; tower.” The last part is what really got me, ‘to rise up; soar.’ That is what I need to do right now. I need to rise up over the small but seemingly huge difficulties that are in my way and become stronger then they are so I can prove to myself that I can get over them. Aspire has that power for me, and that is why it should be the next empoword word.

I vote thrive - because it contains an element of adversity and rising/surviving/growing in the midst or in spite of that adversity. To be a thriver, one must experience life in a broader realm - actively making choices or drawing on what life has brought to you - connecting with, growing toward the higher self. I vote thrive!

The next empoword word should be thrive. I like thrive becuase it makes me think about growth. Which reminds me of nature and I love the image that thrive makes me think about.

I like aspire because it seems more wide open to me, more full of possibilities. Thrive feels more limited to the physical realms and more mundane. Aspire feels more energetic and etheric based and therefore more all encompassing.

I like aspire better because it is more motivating.

I definitely like aspire more because you are working toward something.

Aspire. I agree with the sentiments of both Julianne and Emily. Being able to direct one’s ambitions toward achieving something is wonderful. Aspire is ripe with possibilities! Wonderful!

From my focus of the physicality of words, I choose thrive. Here is how I experience the words in my body.
Aspire is more of an internal and individual process. The sensation is one of moving upward, higher and higher, as a wonderful stretch that I enjoy on my own.
Thrive is more of an external and community engaged process. The sensation is one of moving upward and outward, encompassing more of the world. This stretch includes the stretch of aspire and is one to enjoy with a larger group.
Thrive carries more empoword-ment for today’s challenges and for global health and well being.

aspire implies to me thinking, hoping,….but not doing

thrive indicates, doing, results, reality, taking action on one’s hopes and dreams

Thrive says that not only am I growing, I am liking it!

Definitely, aspire. It’s threaded to the bigger picture of our lives. And it’s a refreshing change to the usual “goal” concept.

I like thrive better because to me it says that everything you need is within you, but you are still seeking growth and wish to better yourself.
