How Smart Are you?

Gone are the days of IQ tests and measuring intelligence by that number alone. Today, smart is defined by quantity and quality. Effort, passion, drive and determination, creativity and curiosity all reveal our capabilities.

Over 25 years ago, Harvard education professor Dr. Howard Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences. Far too limited by IQ, Gardner proposes eight different kinds of intelligences, accounting for the broader range and scope of human potential. The eight intelligences are:

1) Verbal-linguistic intelligence - word smart (we are particularly fond of this one here at Empoword)
2) Logical-mathematical intelligence - number/reasoning smart
3) Visual-spatial intelligence - picture smart
4) Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence - body smart
5) Musical intelligence - music smart
6) Interpersonal intelligence - people smart
7) Intrapersonal intelligence - self smart
8) Naturalistic intelligence - nature smart

So how are you smart? To find out, take this quick quiz.
