10 for 10
What does the year ahead have in store for you? What are your priorities and plans? Looking for meaningful change that will last?
A key factor in manifesting what you want is genuinely paying attention to your needs and wants, your desires and passions, your goals and dreams. But first you have to figure out exactly what they are.
Here are 10 different lists you can make to help you get started and keep your attention where you want it for 2010 and beyond.
1) List at least 5 things you want to do more of in 2010. (i.e. I want to read more.)
2) List at least 5 things you want to do less of in 2010. (i.e. I want to spend less time watching TV.)
3) List at least 3 people you want to spend more time with this year.
4) List 3 things you want to do to improve your health in 2010. (i.e. I want to eat more green vegetables.)
5) List at least 5 places you dream of visiting one day. (i.e. I want to travel to Bali.)
6) List 2 new things you want to try in 2010. (i.e. I want to take a drumming class.)
7) List at least 3 things you want to do to help someone else. (i.e. I want volunteer at the library once a month.)
8) List at least 2 things you want to do to your home. (i.e. I want to clean out my storage closet.)
9) List 3 things you want to accomplish with your work. (i.e. I want 10 new clients this year.)
10) List 5 words that you want to be. (i.e. I want to be generous, gentler, focused, loving, empowered.)
Additional tips for success:
- write it down
- be as specific as possible (the brain likes that)
- take it in small pieces and bites (this way you won’t get overwhelmed and just quit)
- re-read your lists often throughout the year
- write your lists down where you can see them often
- begin each sentence with an “I want” statement
- be intentional
- when creating lists take time for yourself, avoid making your lists when distracted

It’s the middle of January but I am just catching up with myself for resolutions and plans. Thanks for making it easier!
