A visual mantra is a symbolic image or object paired with an idea, thought or feeling that has meaning and significance for the individual. The one reinforces the other.
When a visual mantra gets seen or conjured up in the mind's eye it elicits a corresponding thought or feeling that reminds individuals to take a specific action which in turn has a positive impact on their well-being. This action can be as simple as taking a full deep breath or as complicated as trying to live with greater authenticity.
